I recently got an Olympus OM-D E5 during a trip to New York. One of the main reasons for me to get this camera is that I can fit my Leica M lenses on it with an adapter. The adapter only provides mechanical fitting with no additional optic element would mean that I can still enjoy the legendary quality of the Leica M optics.

I had the option to buy the body only but went with a kit (12-50 water resistant lens) and the two parts battery grip. I must say that I am very nicely surprised by the quality of the images coming out of this little camera.

The OM-D doesn’t only offer the touch and feel of a retro camera, it also gives you all the newest techno like the high resolution LCD screen being able to tilt up and down and touch and swipe to pan and zoom just like on the screen of an iPhone …

Here is a quick snap on the street of New York, on the 10th Ave where I spotted a giant guy crossing the street. Olympus claims that this camera has the fastest auto-focus around… I don’t mind that because it is real fast.

More coming soon..
