Seal at the Leica M Monochrom Launch at FotoRiesel by Thierry NGUYEN CUU for Australian-Photo.com

Following a recent blog post for the launch of the Leica M Monochrom at FotoRiesel Leica store in Sydney, here is the video of this special event.

I recorded this video using my iPhone 4s in landscape and portrait mode. The audio is from the built in microphone and I must say it does a decent job..

All images have been taken with my Leica M9 and the 50mm Carl Zeiss f/1.5 Sonnar. The only reason why I am using this lens is because I could not find stick anywhere for a Leica M 50mm Summilux …
I took the images during Seal’s talk with the lens in pre focussed position as I had one hand holding the iPhone for this video and the other hand to take some pictures with my Leica M9.
At the end of the event, I had the chance to have a quick chat with the GM of Leica AP (Asia Pacific) and words are Leica is working hard to improve supply and things are about to change.

You may have heard about Leica, but do you know why people choose to use Leica? Find out more why Seal, international artist and coach of The Voice Australia, uses Leica in this video below. Make sure you hit the full screen mode. Enjoy.

International artist, Seal, was the ambassador for the Leica M Monochrom launch in Sydney at the FotoRiesel Leica Store early June.
I was one of the guests and recorded this video with my iPhone 4s.
All images have been taken with my Leica M9 and a 50mm Carl Zeiss sonnar f/1.5 lens.
The main reason why I used this lens is because I couldn’t find a Leica M 50mm Summilux anywhere..
After the event, I had the opportunity to discuss with Leica representatives (AG from Leica Asia Pacific) and I was very nicely surprised to see how approachable Leica people were and also noticed how attentive they were to listen to Leica users.
Of course Leica stocks are very low and slow but they said to be working on increasing production and to satisfy demand with a better response.
I also had the chance to play with the Leica M Hermes Edition of course pose with Seal.
What a great Artist and lover of fine photography equipment.
