Nikon just announced a ‘new’ digital camera with a familiar look that came from an oldie. The Df one just revived the old look of Nikon F series.

Whatever opinion circulate on the inter web, this announcement provoked a few website crashes. That alone would have had people talking about.

Either this camera will set a new benchmark or not in the photography industry, be it for hobbyists or for professionals, it is too early to tell.

What is important is that this ‘new’ camera gets people talking.

A few hours after the leaked images (planned?) and rumour sites were down on their knees and review sites like DPReview.com attacked more than 1500 comments .. :o)

It would make us think that so called ‘photographers’ are more often in front o their computer than behind their cameras taking pictures :o)

There is no doubt this new comer will be all over the net for the next couple days before any other announcements from the competitions (eyes are now all over Canon for eventual ‘leaks’).

In the mean time, you can put an order and be the first to have your hands on one of theses. They come in black or silver and Nikon even redesigned a ‘new’ 50mm f/1.8 with a retro look that can be purchased separate or as a kit lens.
