It is time of the year when camera makers around the world come out of from hibernation to announce what they have been doing over winter (at least for Australia).

It is no surprise, yet a bit overwhelming, that rumours, and review sites around the globe unleash their share of “secrets”, under embargo waiting for official announcement.

Fuji has now officially announced a mirrorless medium format camera, said in a “kit” configuration way under $10K. I am pretty sure these are USD K..

The name released: Fujifilm GFX 50s – for 50 megapixels.

The other announcement, maybe my favourite, is the announcement of the Olympus OMD M1 Makr II.

Even though it is “only” a micro four thirds camera (the sensor 4 time smaller than a full frame sensor) I have come to love my OMD Mark I and have been long long waiting for the Mark II.

Now that it’s been announced, there is no doubt I will get my hands on one when it becomes available.
