The first time I shot Mel was for a bridal mag, back in .. 2009. We since then had a couple of opportunity to work again together but since Mel got more and more tattoos done, I wanted to shoot her as herself, in her elements. Raw, organic.

Looking back to the historic of our chat to make this shoot happen .. it started almost 2 years ago .. And you know what? It’s like a good wine, it gets better with the years :p

We planned to shoot outside and on the day of the shoot, the rain showed up without invitation. Mega thanks to Dan from the Goolabri to provide us with an improvised location to shoot in.

After a couple of hours shooting, the sky cleared up and we got out for an open sky shoot.
